Annie White is a sustainability professional with extensive expertise in sustainable design, resource recovery, and designing and leveraging cross-sector partnerships to create change. Annie launched and led two industry coalitions housed within non-profit organizations which are dedicated to the development and implementation of sustainable, market-based solutions. Since its inception, GreenBlue’s Sustainable Packaging Coalition has grown from its nine founding member companies to over 200 members, and has been lauded as ‘One of the most influential groups in packaging’. Global Green’s Coalition for Resource Recovery has piloted new methods for recycling foodservice packaging that have been adopted by Starbucks Coffee Company and Pret A Manger and has advised city agencies on waste related polices and infrastructure development. Annie’s work has been cited in the New York Times, Grist and leading trade publications. Annie earned an MBA from the Ross School of Business and a MS in Sustainable Systems from the School of Natural Resources and Environment at the University of Michigan. She also holds a dual BS in Biology and Environmental Science from the College of William and Mary.
